What factors can affect the precision of instruments

If you feel that the accuracy of using a stainless steel pressure gauge is not very high, you can take some measures to improve its accuracy. However, before that, it is best to understand what factors affect its accuracy. Let's take a look at the methods together below.

Due to the importance of the quality of stainless steel pressure gauge spring tubes for the accuracy of precision gauges, the following points are discussed:

1. The proportional limit and elastic limit of stainless steel pressure gauges are illustrated below using low carbon steel and stress-strain characteristic curves as examples. The maximum stress at which the relative deformation inside a material increases proportionally with stress is called the proportional limit. Elastic limit refers to the stress at which the residual deformation in a material reaches a predetermined small value (0.002% to 0.005% of the original length of the sample) under a certain stress, and this stress is called elastic limit, expressed in terms of elasticity.

2. The elastic deformation of the elastic element of stainless steel pressure gauge. Under the action of pressure, the geometric shape and size of the elastic sensitive element of stainless steel pressure gauge will change. Within the elastic limit range, its change is proportional to the pressure. When the pressure is cancelled, the element can recover to its initial size and shape. This phenomenon is called elastic deformation.

3. The inelastic effect of elastic components in stainless steel pressure gauges and the elastic aftereffect of elastic components in stainless steel pressure gauges. When the applied pressure on the elastic element is cancelled, it cannot immediately restore its original shape and size, and it takes a certain amount of time for the elastic element to recover to its original shape and size. This phenomenon is called elastic aftereffect.

So that's all for the introduction about stainless steel pressure gauges above. I hope it can be helpful for your understanding.
