What are the reasons why the pointer of stainless steel pressure gauge does not return to zero

1. Before using the pressure gauge, if the pointer of the pressure gauge drops to zero, a special situation should be explained. For some pressure gauges with lower range but larger outer diameter, the above situation will only occur when placed flat. However, when the pressure gauge is vertical and the pointer returns to zero, this situation cannot be considered as the pointer of the pressure gauge dropping to zero, but should be considered as a qualified product.


2. Negligence and non-standard operations during the production process. Let's talk about assembly first. Some installation accessories have screws that are not tightened during assembly, which can cause strong vibrations or human damage during logistics transportation. For example, if the screws on the upper and lower layers of the movement, dial, movement, and connector are not tightened properly, it is very likely to cause the pressure gauge pointer to zero during transportation.


3. When calibrating the pressure gauge, the needle may not be securely fastened. Similarly, during logistics transportation, due to long distances, bumpy roads, or some human factors, the pointer of the stainless steel pressure gauge may not return to zero.


If the pressure gauge is normal when it reaches the consumer's hand, what aspects should we pay attention to during use?


1. On site use is the touchstone for testing the quality of a pressure gauge. Due to the diversity and complexity of the working environment, there are severe vibrations during use. Although it is a pressure gauge, it has a limit value and cannot withstand severe vibrations. However, if the screws of the pressure gauge are not tightened properly before leaving the factory, it will cause the tension rod to loosen, the dial to be misaligned, and the movement of the movement, all of which can directly cause the pressure gauge pointer to zero.


2. Improper operation by the user, excessive pressure exceeding the limit of the pressure gauge range or even twice, can cause deformation of the spring tube, non elastic deformation, or detachment of the movement teeth. As the saying goes, "the pressure gauge is hit", but in fact, the pressure gauge pointer does not return to zero due to excessive pressure applied by the user during operation.


3. Due to the continuous force generated by the elasticity of the spring tube in the pressure gauge, even if operated properly, the pressure gauge pointer may still deviate from zero after a long period of use. This situation generally occurs in pressure gauges with a large range above 10MPa.


So, as a precision pressure measuring device, stainless steel pressure gauges require utmost caution in production, transportation, and use, and cannot tolerate any carelessness. With a serious and responsible production attitude and standardized usage regulations, each pressure gauge can play its role.
